05/ 27/ 02 Zurich Latvia to Insure CowParade Ventspils

AAS Zurich Latvia will insure the 25 life-size glass fiber cows that will feature in CowParade Venstpils and which having been transformed by artists will be grazing in the streets and parks of Ventspils during the period between June 8th and August 24th.

AAS Zurich Latvia has undertaken to insure 25 cows recreated as works of art, which will be exhibited on the streets of Ventspils, on the city’s beach, in the Children's Town, by the Aqua park, by the Olympic Center and the Seaside Nature Museum, in the Ratslaukums, the City Square, in the Zviedru Valnis (Swedish Rampart), in the bridge circle and other roads, in public spaces and near tourist sites during the period between June 8th and August 24th.

As Zurich Latvia director Andris Rozentals admits the Cow Parade and AAS Zurich Latvia have much in common. “The first global cow parade took place in Zurich, Switzerland. The Zurich financial group’s headquarters is similarly located in Zurich. I think that the people of Ventspils and visitors to the city will agree that these are not simple cows, but rather unusual works of art previously not seen in Latvia,” stresses Andris Rozentals.

Irrespective of the fact that Zurich Latvia specializes in working with corporate and commercial clients, its insurance of the CowParade is more a question of prestige as well as an affirmation that our insurance company’s roots are Swiss. Therefore, Andris Rozentals points out that for the first time in the company’s history he’s proud to be able to sponsor these unique cows.

“From June 8th until August 24th, Ventspils inhabitants and visitors to the city will be able to share the same space as the cows, look at and even touch them, therefore, a few security precautions including insurance are required. We want the cows to look perfect when they’re sold at auction at the end of August,” says Lilita Seimuskane, Director of Ventspils Development Agency.
